My Most Recent Reads

Another formulaic yet entertaining book by Nora Roberts. Horses, a love story, a murder mystery—What’s not to enjoy? I’ve read this book several times, and it’s a good one to “rest” with until I find my next new read.

Written with Slaughter’s typical graphic style, this is the most recent book in the Will Trent series. The storyline is a bit far-fetched, but I’m invested after 18 or so books with these two characters. I only finish what entertains me, and I did finish this one.

Talk about a disappointment. After Morgenstern’s first book “The Night Circus,” I desperately waited for her next novel. She got so caught up in describing the pretty environment that she forgot to tell the story. I stopped with only 1.5 hours left to listen; I simply couldn’t handle it any more.

Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated, all books have been consumed via audio. I am a firm supporter of audio books, as listening allows me to do other tasks such as chores, driving, and indulging in other hobbies such as jigsaw puzzles or crocheting.
